.... stars a Burleson High senior.

And I just saw the McCart Thrift Store on camera, so they're fillming close. This begs the question..... HOW COME I DIDN'T HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?

Anway, this is the second time Burleson has been seen on national TV. Of course you know the first time with Kelly Clarkson. Good for them.

North Crowley is still better, though.

I guess you did--you posted this thread
if you mean why you did not read about it sooner--guess the FTW paper or Burleson paper did not consider it that newsworthy--
read about the new legal drama set in LA but shooting in the Las Colinas sets--lovely Billy Zane has a juicy part--and only a small mention on the tv page about this show...go figure the mindset of the editors of the paper...

probably someone like me--empty nester, life-long reader of books, newspapers, magazines, bill boards, church flyers, and cereal boxes, and pretty much anything with words--except instruction manuals...

Either way, I'm just stunned that this is the second time Burleson has been in the national spotlight. It may not be that much, but the fact that that town has been on tv at all is amazing.

Good for them.

Born and raised in Burleson (now a college student), I'm definitely surprised as well. We have some very artistic, creative talent here!

JJG, now that I think of it, I guess that WAS McCart Thrift! Thought the shopping scene was at the Goodwill store in Burleson at first...

Oh and amazingly, I still read the newspaper too

I taped an episode and watched less than 5 min of it--I can't believe that anyone living out of state would want to listen to the accents--
it is totally real--and frankly there was a reason we did not buy in Burleson when we moved to this area 25 yrs ago...
anyone who IS considering Burleson when moving should watch that--best reality flavor going...

Really? I don't think that the kids have much of a Texan accent at all. Maybe I'm just that used to it. Weird...

Wait a second, why can't you stand the Texan accent again?

I have a friend who goes to Burleson High, and he said the show is a total farse. It's supposed to be a "reality" show, but everything was totally scripted. The producers told the kids where to dance during a prom scene, they filmed the Valentine's Day show in May, some of the school scenes weren't even shot at Burleson High, it portrays Burleson as a small town full of rednecks instead of the boring suburb it really is, the list goes on... When I tried watching, I switched it once they stole a couple of jokes from Demitri Martin. But hey, what do you expect from MTV?
