I just walked outside to place a bag of lawn waste on the curb and noticed that all of our neighbors in the circle have on their home exterior "up lights," except us. Concerned that there may be some unspoken "code" being delivered by these silly things, I just turned ours on.

I feel so luxurious !

<uh, this won't be happening again this year, neighbors >

What are these silly things for?

LOL then you be Mr Jones and pick a unique lighting system different from theirs. Let your home be naked for a while, let them whisper for several months then BAM!!! put those new lights out and a beautiful slim ceramic fountain sitting on a rock base near your front entry and watch their faces and listen to their comments. In a month or so they will be trying to do the same. Get a good laugh from your neighbors...I did

Wow! I am so not in your league. We'll be doing good to just get some flood lights installed on the side of our home with the kid's swing set.

What you did sounds pretty cool . I think we'd need another 1/4 acre (all in frontage), perhaps, to pull something like that off to good effect.

Oh well, back to being the dips of the neighborhood .

No, I am in your league just know how to choose unique things to impress the neighbors. The fountain is a 3' slim cylinder placed on a medium recovery base. Go to Whiz Q or garden shop to pick up. And just be creative with lighting from the "Orang" Depot...they'll never know (well they will now after this post)
