I live in Discovery and it is great. It does depend on where you live. Look at the houses and cars. Are they kept up? My cul-de-sac has no problem. Is Discovery perfect? No. But if you are a good neighbor, you will get good neighbors. Like any other place, there are good areas and bad. Section 8 is not all over the place either. We only have one home and they are really nice people. They take care of their yard and care of their kids. There are places in Frederick that are much worse.

Discovery is a place to be avoided. Yeeesh! Look out in Thurmont or Emmitsburg for cheaper, safer, quieter communities.

What's wrong with paying rent? The cost of housing is still disproportionately high compared to incomes. Something has to give, still. So, either incomes will go up dramatically (yeah, right) or house prices will continue to drop.
