I go a bit nuts on my house BUT I am frugal though. I think anytime something becomes a passion you learn to find deals to keep that hobby going within your means.

I get Pho once a month. That's about it except the occasional CD (which I've slowed down on quite a bit thanks to Youtube...).

Natural and Organic food. Eco cleaning products.

I am frugal in most aspects but I'm not going to take risks with my families health.

I believe in spending frugally and wisely but I have a guilty pleasure of spending my money on things i know i don't need vs things i think i gotta have ie... scented candles, a new cell phone, laptop, a new pair of stilettos, a few books, a new cute bottle of fragrance or something new for simba (my 1 yr old maltese) yes he's spoiled. So far, I have things under control because I've been practicing how to NOT overspend just because "I think I need it". It's not easy but i give myself E for effort

Imported cheeses, imported dark beer, organic milk/eggs, Dead Sea bath salts and cat toys/snacks. And only occasionally, fresh flowers. All this after I have discussed with myself want vs need.

Getting my hair professionally cut/colored/highlighted every 8 weeks. It evens out, because I wear a uniform at my job and no longer have wardrobe/dry cleaning expenses. I also like my scratch lottery tickets, but I only buy them with money I find. When I find coins on the sidewalk/road while walking to and from work (even pennies), I put them in a jar and use it to buy the tickets. I walk past the village fast food joints on the way to work in the early morning, and I always check out the drive throughs - I sometimes find 50 cents a day in coins lying there that people dropped!

I buy organic apples, the Whole Foods house brand of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel (it's cruelty-free), and foo-foo vegetarian frozen meals for lunch at work.

However I also clip (and use) coupons for household staples like cat food, toilet paper, etc. I also do not use many commercial cleaning products and do most of my house cleaning with water, vinegar, salt, and baking soda.
