at HEB for .50 cents each. Also, they have some powered milk (80 cups) for $7.49. Stocked up.

Were those made in the deli, or a name-brand freezer product? Huge difference.

When I was in college, those were a regular part of my diet. Used to get them from time to time until about four or five years ago, when I discovered that they often made me sick. There were a couple of huge recalls after that, and I've never trusted them since.

I have bought on occasion those cheap frozen pot pies and found them to be mostly a very think gravy with a piece or 2 of chicken and maybe 4 or 5 pieces of carrot and potato. Mrs. Budd makes a great chicken pie which is in the cooler section not frozen. It has actual pieces of chicken and good veggies.

Hm, well, yeah, got sick from it. Guess it's not a good deal after all.

Sorry for the "experience" but good thing you only bought three.

I tested some Italian Sausage the other day. Could not remember if that was the sausage I let go a few days in the fridge and then put in the freezer.

I only tasted it and didn't really swallow. Same experience and good thing I didn't eat it.

Never had a problem with Banquet chicken pot pies. Store brand wasn't very good though.
