I know lots of people feel that way. And that's OK. I'll pay 99c for my can of Progresso and you are free to pay $1.89. And to me, raw spinach is raw spinach, and mushrooms are mushrooms. I just choose to pay less for mine because to me, there is no difference.

But that's just me!

Looks like indeed, they sell some brand products. Just make sure and compare the amount and check the expiration date.
I do not see much food in Dollar stores in my area, except for tuna cans, beverages, cookies and chips.

The only real reason I don't buy regular food (excluding snacks) at dollar stores is because I usually try and take advantage of sales and coupons at grovery stores, so I get them cheaper there.

Be sure to check the expiration date on food products at the dollar stores.

My "jackpot" at the dollar store is puzzles. I LOVE puzzles and do them a lot. I was quite shocked to find a bunch of them a couple weeks ago. I had to stop at 5 in my basket, but I have already done them several times. I will make a trip back to see if they have anymore.

hard to beat a 99 cent only store~ big bunch of asperagus for a dollar, 3 romaine hearts for a dollar, 2 iceburg lettuce for a dollar, bread at a dollar a loaf, I've seen box of six eskimo ice cream bars for a dollar~ walmart won't even touch those prices~ and you do get 2 greeting cards for a buck and my callenders are also from the 99 cents only store
