I thought it might be fun to try a "fill in the blanks" thread on the Frugal Living subforum.

For starters:
I Spent $3.67 on a gallon of gas in Montgomery Co, Maryland today.

I spent $2837.34 for one semester college tuition at U of Nebr. Omaha today.

Join in! Why?
It may be helpful to:
1. See what others, in differing locations, are paying for similiar items ( see above)

2. Record your daily spending (!)

3. Share a great "deal" you found.

4. Seek solace for a horribly expensive moment

Drove to work. Probably will have spent ~$4 on gas by the time I'm back.

Lunch was free as it sometimes is.

After I go home I'll do some work, homework, and probably watch a movie on my $10 per month Netflicks.

Big lunch, so this will probably be one of my '1 meal days' rather than 2.

Talk to the GF on the phone (Thank you unlimited minutes)

and go to bed.

I might spend a couple grand in a day, or almost nothing (Cepting % of monthly bills as outlined above)
Depends.

Spent $3.68 per gallon of diesel in Baltimore Co, Maryland today, thank you 30 cent per gallon discount from Giant Foods!

Spent $22,900 on a travel trailer in Gambrells MD to replace teh slightly too small one we've been using for a while. Yeah, it's a big purchase, but it's a hedge against losing my job and house, as it's large enough to live in (a 28 footer) but cheap enough that a minimum wage job will pay for it if necessary. I work for the government and a furlough is inevitable, it seems.

I spent $ 40 at the grocery store and everything was BOGO ( buy one get one ) or reduced half price.

I rarely buy anything regular price anymore. Always on the hunt for the SALE !

I spent ZERO today, but my husband spent $41.00 on a carload of vacuums and parts in Tucson, AZ. Of course, it's a small car, so it's a small carload.

Spent about $20 at the grocery but about a third of that was for a donation to the soup kitchen.
