Lets take a look at what price adjustments consumers can expect to see in 2012. This week, we read the economic tealeaves to see what will be more expensive in the year 2012. Some increases seem almost customary, like ever-rising gas prices, while others, like a potential 25% hike on tap water, are more surprising.

A lot of these seem related. For example, if gas is more expensive, then food prices will automatically increase at the store, since gas is consumed during the transportation of the food, as well as the harvesting in many cases. Increased gas prices will also result in the increase of transportation, shipping, and the costs of all physical consumer goods that must be transported to the consumer. If the costs of creating these goods go up, as well as the price of gas, then it's a double wammy... If only the cost of labor would go up in this country, things would be just fine! That last bit is the primary reason why the economy is going to be in rough shape, as well as unemployment. Wages are about the easiest thing for businesses to control, and even manipulate.
And people make fun of me for keeping my old stuff: digital camera (although might have to replace it as the flash isn't so great anymore), old printers, computers, whatever. If it still works... it's fine for me.

Better yet is finding these items for sale second hand. $300 for a camera? Not me...
I'm glad to see energy on the rise. I'm hoping to oil to reach $200. Apparently $160 wasn't enough to get people to stop being so wasteful.
Me too.. hopefully we'll see less of those pesky SUVs on the roads while the "Gasoline" portion of my budget will only bulge slightly in the overall scheme of things.. an excellent tradeoff in my books.

If that were true... You wouldn't drive enough to care!
I'm still using my old Lenovo ThinkCentre with 856 M0 RAM (hehehehe I guess some will burst in laughter) with a 17" Acer screen (yes, I watch movies on that screen) a (relatively) old HP color printer and a small Kodak pocket camera.
(bought none of these, courtesy of my boss). I don't even own a laptop or a mobile phone.
And I'm perfectly happy (just impressed some photos -a few of them photoshopped-on glossy photo paper, the result is excellent! the only problem is the price of the tiny HP color ink cartridges, 25 $ !
RUINOUS
Mistake : I bought the camera , boss didn't offer it to me (a "whopping" 65 $)
