I'm jealous of some of these small monthly gas bills!

Between $250-300 a month. Small pick-up truck and large work van.
I'm a painting contractor so need the capacity to carry ladders and equipment and such. Most of my jobs are within 20 miles, thankfully. And I usually do errands and grocery shopping on my way to and from work to cut down the mileage.

An average month is 0, at most $10. This is for two cars, 35 mile each way commute to work. Life is good in Kuwait - gas is 80 US cents a gallon - and I work as a contractor to the national oil company which gives us up to 15 gallons of gas a free every day, if we need it. The only way I ever pay is on weekends if I drive all over Kuwait multiple times (it's only the size of New Jersey). Driving the equivalent from Iraq to Saudi borders twice might require me to pay for the gas only then. Only have to make sure to watch out for camels.

In three months I bought enough groceries and gas to earn a $50 visa card from PenFed. I learned about the PenFed card here and I only use it for gas=5 pts and groceries=3 pts. Buying only the essentials earned $50.00 with which I bought something else that is necessary.

You learn good things here and THANK YOU to the person who first mentioned the PenFed card. I spend about $200/month on groceries for the two of us. Don't know about gas but our old Saturn gets 35 miles to the gallon.

Usually between 80 and 200USD monthly , if I head out of town , it can approach 300. As a result , I've stopped heading for the hills every weekend.

because i live in nyc, i don't have a car. commute costs are about $130 a month on the local metrocard. that is my gas cost. i would consider using a bike but the weather isn't perfect here. i can't get it cheaper than this as i do need unlimited use of the card at random times during the week such as for buying groceries or going to see the doc, outside of work. it probably costs me a little over a dollar a day in terms of actual expense for commuting. for these savings and having to ride public transport, i have to deal with loonies out here in nyc.

About $30/month base now that gas prices have dropped again. Just driving to the local park & ride to take the bus in a beater 4 cylinder that gets 30 mpg.
Add to that another $35 or so for my newer vehicle that I use for other local errands, that only gets 15 and I fill up about every other month.
