At the grocery I used a digital coupon so I could get a gallon of milk for just $1.20. Bought the weekly meat special so I got carrots, dinner rolls and can of soup for free. I also redeemed $15.00 worth of paper coupons. Everything will be used in the next couple of weeks.

I didn't buy the Pumpkin Oreos I went to buy. To be fair it's only because they didn't have them so I guess I wasn't really that frugal. But I didn't buy anything instead either -- I just came home empty handed.

I return things to the grocery store all the time.l Once bought two pork tenderloins pre marinated. We had one for dinner which was so incredibly salty nobody could eat it. I took my receipt and other one and got full refund but clerk just tossed packaged pork tenderloin in the trash. I bet somehow it could have been salvaged but I wasn't gonna be the one to do it.

I think more folks should not be shy about returning something they are unhappy about. Als I will go online to complain or even praise a product and they will give coupons. Last week we bought two cans of rediwip, both of which just squired watery goo. I called the company and was sent coupons for two more cans plus other products from that company. Then DH took the cans(not knowing I had called the company) and got refund from the grocery store! We never would have done that on purpose but it worked out well cause I was really mad I had to send him for cool whip the night we were entertaining and planned to us the rediwip. (yes it's really spelled that way)

Looking down at Melinda's & Warren's cat kibble container, thinking of what it's next use could be when I move their kibble over to the deceased dog's better sealing bin..............maybe to store all my oodles and oodles of spaghetti.

This morning I put on my favorite and at this point only warm robe. I bought it for my mother about 17 years ago and she has been dead 8 years. polyester never dies! The only other robe I have is threadbare. It is a velour long robe I made for my husband our first year of marriage. We have been married 38 years. i love this robe and can't even think of getting rid of it. Honestly I don't usually run about in clothes decades old but these robes have special meaning and they do what they are meant to do so why buy anything new?
