Yeah, you would think with all the b1thcing they do about insurance ripping them off they would jump through hoops to retain you as a patient! Doh!
Nice and warm today so I am going on a hay run, stop on the way to drop off papers to the accountant...she is brilliant if anyone needs tax help.....and grab some Lotto tickets.
Got Enbrel Copay Assistance, so now I get Enbrel $5/month, instead of $35/month with just my insurance!
Savings of $30/month, not bad!
Also, finally got most/all of our RX maintenance drugs set up on mail order, a substantial savings! We save about 1/3 off the retail pharmacy, and that's even with using insurance! I notice I hardly go to the local pharmacy anymore. I figure altogether we're saving about $200+/month using the mail order pharmacy, but it took changing doctors to do it. The one I went to just simply refused to write RX so I could utilize my benefits. He'd just do the "doctor mumble" walk away, and the little play nurse would come in and hand me a stack of papers (the bill on top, of course), then I didn't find out until I got home the RX weren't written correctly. It didn't matter how many times I told them how I needed it written, I even wrote down and printed off a list stating exactly what was needed, quantities and refills, apparently they just didn't bother to read it. I did speak with the office manager and told her why I was leaving. They accept our insurance, obviously, as a means to get patients, but then they don't do their part to help patients utilize their benefits. If they can't work with me, I don't work with them, there's very few specialists out there who are so great I can accept paying more than I should! Don't forget, we pay for the insurance, and the co-pays are high enough as it is! If they accept the insurance, then accept the terms and conditions for the patient's benefits, not just their own
I still don't think they got it....
Again with your endless medical problems.....Ugggg
My insurance is great. I get three months supply for $1 and one time it was to early for them to mail me my rx, but, they said I could get an emergency fill at the local pharmacy for a 0 copay. Thankfully I just don't have problem after problem with insurances AND doctors offices and staff like you. It is almost as if they enjoy making your life miserable. Weird for you, but, your tude toward the nurse is very rude so my guess is you are getting back what you are dishing out.

So put me on your ignore list if you don't like reading my posts
Unfortunately, most medical problems are "endless"....be thankful if you can't relate
What was my "attitude" towards the nurse? that I wanted them to write the RX to maximize my benefits? What is so unreasonable about that? I can just see you letting $200+/month slip by unecessairly to be "nice" to the nurse, and you don't know how "nice" I was to the "nurse" nor how many times I tried to work with them. Our insurance copays are
$30/mo generic local pharmacy $30/ 3 mo via mail order
$45 mo generic non-formulary local pharmacy $45/3 mo via mail order
obviously, its a huge portion of our budget, especially for speciality drugs like Enbrel, which was costing me $35/month, now $5/month all just for the "nurse" writing the damned RX correctly.
Don't criticize what you obviously don't understand

You called the nurse a little play nurse which is very rude. I'm guessing you don't actually have a DEA license to write scripts so you may not know how to write out a RX. Try treating people nicer and you will have a lot less problems or better yet go to medical school since you seem to believe you already know more than anybody in the entire profession. I spent twenty years in a pharmacy dealing with people that thought they knew more than me so I do understand. There you go just ordering me around again and displaying extreme rudeness again.
