Apples that are clearly a species meant for cultivation but are in the wild or untended . Dolgo crabapples work just fine too. Have a quart of cider from them in the freezer.

Loaded my own bullets, and use my bath water to flush my toilet. Water is at a premium in Fla. I also buy anything I can at dollar tree that is cheaper than other stores. Cliff bars are only a buck and at wally world they are 1.69

Bottled 3 gallons, or 15 bottles of dandelion wine. Will do stand in for off-dry Riesling. Kinda pineapple with a honey-mead like finish.

Today? Great. Nothing. Yesterday? 30 dollars are prescriptions, OTC meds and a laser pointer for the dog! Yikes! Couldn't even pay for it all and had to put 10 on the CC.

I walked everywhere today, saved on gas and wear and tear on my car.
Also didn't have to go to the gym.

was going to go to Subway for lunch immediately after shopping at Walmart for groceries....decided to go home instead and fix something from what I purchased...also, skipped golf today so I saved on green fees and gas (45 min drive)......but it is a beautiful course.....

Went to the library to return some books and to pick up some more - about cooking and shopping frugally!

And, this is not necessarily a "today", thing, but something I'm excited about. I'm having some friends over for the eve of Thanksgiving, and I had my eye on this Crock-Pot plug-in system where you can plug up to six units together to create a buffet-style set up. I was looking to get three of them. They happen to sell them at Bed, Bath and Beyond. (I got the circular the other day with a $5 coupon.) My SO found a Bed, Bath and Beyond gift card that I almost forgot about. I went to check on the website, and there is $50 on it. I also get points toward merchandise or gift cards through a rewards program through my credit card (pay off the balance each month though!) So I cashed some of those in. Yesterday, I got a 20% off coupon for BBB, and when I was going through mail, found ANOTHER 20% off!! So, this Crock Pot set-up is not going to cost me a dime.

i washed my bedding at the laundry mat instead of at home, which turns out to be cheaper because id have to rent a washer and dryer.

i went into aldis for the first time today just to check it out. didnt buy anything, but it felt good just shopping around checking things out.

Ugh, Brynach, I feel your pain. Ten days ago I went to see my doc for a sinus infection. $117 for an office visit. Then they sent me a bill for 51 dollars more.

Topping it off, ten days later (now) I am still no better and have to see her again today so I can be a guinea pig for a different antibiotic round. My head is so stuffed up I can barely stand let alone drive.
