We love our home. We spend our weekends working on it. I figure that we will spend many years working on it. It was built in 1962 and has a lot it needs. We still love it. It is a lot of work to keep it up. It works for us though. You just have to figure out what kind of life you want I guess.

Thanks, John

I'd choose the travel trailer...it's something I would absolutely love to do.
It offers so much more than just staying in one place, which btw, is ridiculously boring.
I say go for it

I can afford a home and thinking about buying a mobile home on two acres of land. Mobile home is a old HUD home and I'm looking buying this real cheap. Mobile home has new metal roof but mobile home needs work. This mobile home a few miles out from Nashville in the county. Also look for work in Nashville.

OR

I could go to North Dakota for work in my travel trailer.

I posted this in another forum. It's part of what John suggested above ^^ except in finding the right person(s) you could have built in house sitter(s)

We've cut our housing costs by $175 per month doing this-

We have someone living outside our house paying rent. His 33 ft trailer has a generator/solar panels.
We got him from Craiglist add I placed. He's 64 yrs old on SS but in shape. Former Disbarred Contractor.
Had to interview 5 people before finding him. He pays $175 per month.

We Provide- 1. basic electricity to keep his laptop and cell phone charged
but that wasn't part of the deal. Our electricity has not went up.

2. Ditch Water. He waters his Vegetable garden, washes the car, and bathes every few days (Ditch water is almost free, just using the electricity to run it thru the hose)

And he has his weights set up in the garage...also not part of the deal but it doesn't bother us, we have the room.

How poor people like me live without Craigslist is beyond me

Maybe you could get a few different people renting from you.
Ensure your water is almost free, there is enough land space, and you live not too far from town.
Yet remote enough where neighbors can't see you, or be bothered by it.
