Home Depot keeps a detailed record of every purchase I make with a credit card back for 2 years. There are product numbers, prices, and even photos (sometimes).

I don't seem to be able to do this with Walmart. Am I missing something? If not, what chains extend this service? Target, Lowes, Kohl's, Sears? Can I find a list somewhere

Costco keeps a record, but I don't know for how long. I've done returns and they look my account up on the computer.

It would have to be someplace that you have a membership. Or, Home Depot files your information by your phone number if you don't have their membership card.

I have a membership with Home Depot. They ask if you want a receipt or not, but regardless of your answer it keeps a record as long as you use a registered credit card. Incidentally, the employees at Home Depot told me that there was no way to get a record to time before you join. They were wrong. Once you join, every purchase you made on that card for the previous two years shows up on a list.

I have a membership with Walmart, but there doesn't seem to be anyway to access a record.

I find it particularly useful, especially with home improvement stuff. If something breaks, you can easily see what you purchased last time.
