Usually it's the opposite. Many of my friends and acquaintances envy the fact that I'm satisfied with the simple things in life.

Yes. The key is to not care what other people think and to keep spendthrifts out of one's circle of friends. I mean, seriously, America is a nation of overweight, undisciplined, spendthrifts. Why would I want to be like the majority of people?

Not really, I'm not a cheap skate. I like to get the best quality for my money. I've called a few friends cheap skates if we were out having a good time all in good fun.
