I've been called cheap a few times, not a whole lot. And not recently in the last few years either.

Yep, I remember someone saying that to me but I am sure more say that behind my back but who cares.. I am doing better and I don't ask people for money, that's what counts.

Oh, heck, yeah -- and by people that are spending everything and then some. I consider the source. I've even turned a few of them.... but a few I've had to say Listen -- I'll be eating chicken in my retirement, while you're eating cat food. And cheap cat food at that.

I really don't care what people think about me, as long as they are respectful to my face.

I was born excruciatingly cheap.
I can squeeze a nickel so hard you can actually hear Jefferson fart.

I don't remember ever being called cheap however, we have always been around others who live very close to the same lifestyle we live. We all live within our means and have no reason to impress anyone with material possessions, have what we need and use what we have. There is some excess but that is being sorted and sold at the garage sale, the first one of the season was today. The next one in July, then August, then September and the last one in October.
After that anything that is left is being donated.

I always like to say, "don't buy it if you can rent it, and don't rent it if you can get it for free." I love me some bit torrent too...

So if you can't get it for free, steal it? That's not frugal or cheap. That's just downright illegal.

Oh yes. Wish I had been even more frugal around the house. But they stopped when I left for my month long overseas vacations.
