We might in the form of the attention prostitution gets from law enforcement. A quick Google search threw out an average of about $2,000 per arrest in one Midwestern city. There's a cost associated with incarcerating these people (usually repeat offenders) and running them through the legal system, too. I would also wonder about the cost of drug related crimes that usually go hand-in-hand with prostitution. Another consideration may be the children of prostitutes which are probably raised on society's dime.
