I have a beard and only shave the rest every other day. I get about 10 shaves out of a disposable razor.

You can not get much lower than our neighbor. He uses Schick 3 blade pushout disposables. He shaves once a week before leaving for Church. One razor last him a month. The package has 12 and he said the last time he bought a pack it was around $6.00. That's $6 for a one year supply or 50 cents a month excluding shave cream.

When I used to shave a double edge and soap only costed me a few bucks a year. Now I use a combination of clippers and electric shaver which costs me literally nothing since it's infrequent.

How cheap can you get? I think I spend $2 a month. And some are trying to cut that in half?

Safety razor was $20 about 6 years ago. I probably spent $15 on blades at the same time which I'm still using. I usually don't use any shaving cream but I do have a few cans that I got free after coupon. So $35 / 6 = $5.83/year or 48.6 cents per month. The supplies I have will probably last me another 3 years so I will get that down to less than 32 cents/month.

Runs around 25 cents for me. Blades are about 10 cents and last two weeks, $1 for shaving soap that lasts the better part of a year since I often just dry shave anyway. It's not so much the cost. With the seventy blade razors I tend to get razor burn. They do shave a big closer then the old DE which doesn't matter to me.

I'm probably the cheapest. Bic single blade razors, 4$ for a 12 pack, last for awhile. And I do not use shave cream or soap or anything besides water, with a single blade you can just use water, with more than one blade that's a no go. I change it up, some months I like the stubble look, other months I will grow a beard and then go on a shaving everyday thing for awhile. the one package will last me a solid year, some I will use just for body hair.

I have been using an old school double edge safety razor since i stated this thread. I am very satisfied with it! Took me a couple weeks to get the hang of it, but now I'm getting great shaves and blades run me about ten cents each.

Another vote for the double edge safety razor. Currently using blades from Walmart that were 20c each. Even cheaper if brought in bulk from Amazon. Kept on getting irritation from those disposable cartridge razors. No more problems since switching.
