No pets. Studio apartment. Unlimited internet phone for home use, no wired internet or cable. Can get antenna if you do watch TV in city. Make sure you have right phone to use traveling so you don't get HUGE HUGE bill for using your US phone in another country. Can just leave US phone on airplane setting...But can be helpful to get right SIM card for country you visit lots of times traveling. This was cheapest way to handle...or put your US phone on wifi at the hotel but this is not safe if you do banking on cell phone.

Watch the expensive gym memberships at home, really think about it. Sneakers worn around airport might do or treadmill at hotel.

Watch the alcohol while out, just puts on the weight and employer can fire oversized flight attendants. Eat lean while out...salad is more fattening than steak + veggies if you skip potatoes. Skip rice when ordering chinese for best results...skip the fried stuff if you can.

If you like to watch sports, some US cell phone company was offering free ESPN on cell phones which may be tethered to bigger screen...

Streamline the clothing...Cheaper to wear the same outfits around house and out, just having a suit and couple casuals, jeans or dress clothing outfits. You can always purchase some vacation clothing if you need more on a trip. I'm cool owning 2 pairs of jeans and 2 pairs shorts, 3-4 shirts, 1 sweater/1 sweatshirt, 2 dress outfits and a suit depending on weather at your home base. Also have swimming suit and cover up...Is always VERY cheap to pick up a new item or two from clearance racks or stores traveling. Really, really rethink the shoes too... (I work from home now so almost no public contact for business, so much of it just sits there collecting dust...)

Learn thai chi and yoga...Really great exercises with almost no equipment and can be done in tight quarters...Walking/pilates will handle most of rest. Swimming or hiking make nice treat.

Watch the food spending if alone. No need to buy whole weeks' worth of groceries and have it rot. Can be cheaper to eat out...Or lots of individual packs of salads, oatmeals/cereals, cans of soup or Tv dinners with possibly a store-roasted chicken over 3 day weekends. Snack packs of veggies are helpful plus purchase right amount of fruits. Can also cook for freezer and buy the meats while on sale, fill up freezer. When you get the meats home, place in baggies of 1-2 servings then frreze. Then pull them out as you want to cook, can unthaw in hot water sink or fridge and cook small amounts. Can cook recipes that freeze easy, put into individual sized plastic containers and freeze...This is nicest approach if you do like to cook and want to eat healthy.

Streamline belongings and decorate small place really conservatively...Pays to only have 1 set of sheets, a few towels and a few kitchen items...Get rid of all the kitchen gadgets and keep some basic items. No need for toaster, bread maker, fondu, blender, mixer, food processor, Foreman grill, pressure cooker, electric skillet...Food processor will chop it all. Skillet, sauce pans and cake pan will cook it all...No need to have 2+ skillets and saucepans unless you cook that many dishes at one time. REALLY consider getting rid of the baking stuff. Can always cook turkey in disposable plate or crockpot if you do thanksgiving...Do you REALLY need to baking cooking wear when you can go out and buy one of any dessert you wanted?

Rethink lots of the spa stuff...Costs a fortune. Only things that show are anti-aging treatments. White teeth are worth cost in my opinion.... Do you need to wear all that makeup? Can keep hair basic but pleasing color plus wear it up to avoid all the curling and ironing. Do experiment with doing your own coloring when you show grey, see what you think. Get some good quality nail polish like Opi and do own manicures..This brand will last two weeks...Can also buy the lacquer polish and heat lights on ebay to do your own long-lasting manicures...

Find dental and glasses at bottom rates. Can buy glasses or contacts online from Zenni Optical and others REALLY cheaply. The dental hygiene college offers good deals on dental work...Keep weight and diet healthy to avoid unnecessary medical care. Also check out the $4 drug list on Walmart.com if you do need a prescription to see if your pharmacy will price match...

If you airline will allow you to use the rumble seat to see if you can fly out of a secondary, smaller airport. The housing around that will be cheaper than big city, hub airports.

I hear some of the pilots are forced to pay their own lodging while away and starting pay is so low, better to join military. If this is situation for you, REALLY consider changing lines of work.

.Bank of America gets you free admission to lots of museums. Check out similar deals if abroad and killing some time...Hiking or walking tours are good deals too. Keep your tastes simple when you entertain yourself away...

Ebooks are easy to obtain through bookbub.com but can also get unlimited Kindle ebook reading through Amazon for $8 month...Is cheap entertainment.

Dollar store toiletries, cleaning stuffs.

Hope it helps..Sounds like fun...Oh yes, pay yourself a set amount of savings first when you get paid each time. Don't dip into this money except for emergencies. Increase amount saved with raises, tax refunds and bonuses...
