I never get any trick or treat kids come to my house. I'm just too far away from anyone else.

So, I handed out trick or treat candy to myself, bought today at Walmart at the half price after Halloween sale.

I've got a big bag of tiny candy bars, each one is smaller than a bonbon in a box of mixed chocolates. Halloween candy bars used to be tiny, but these are about 1/3 the size of what I think of as a Halloween candy bar. A couple of bites of chocolate bar makes a nice after dinner treat.

You have to do so much unwrapping, that I insist I burn more calories unwrapping the tiny bits than I am adding by actually eating the chocolate. I insist on it. Don't try to confuse me with facts, my mind is made up.

By the way, some of these itty bitty candy bars can be incorporated into Christmas present baked goods. At half price, they are fairly reasonable in cost.

LOL, I love the size of Halloween candy bars, they're perfect!

Hard to find dark chocolate ones, though....thank goodness :-)

Chocolate turns this weird whitish color when you forget you have it and then find it five years later.

I just went around the next day and asked my neighbors for any undistributed remainders. I got enough to last me a month -- probably got more than most trick-or-treaters. One pf my neighbors, I told her a week before what was my favorite, so she bough that for the ToTers, knowing I'd appreciate the leftovers. An unopened bag of candy corn, and a bunch of individual Nestle Crunch.

I got some candy and other Halloween fun at several places this week. I found peanut m&m's for $.66 a bag. I got several other candy bags too. My oldest didn't get to go Trick or Treating this year so he had a special visit from the great pumpkin this week . Some candy I used to make items for a fundraiser for his class.

Glow sticks are kept for emergency situations or for my kids to have fun with their friends. I used to keep ice cream buckets for barf buckets, soaking stained clothes and cleaning. Now the quality of those buckets have gone down so that they almost don't outlast the ice cream. I bought a few buckets. I sometimes get leftover candles for emergencies too, but haven't found any yet this year.

I got a few pieces of decor and the start of next year's costume for $.75. Also got my dog a new costume for $4 since the neighbor kids noticed he had worn the same costume several times.

Does the white in the chocolate mean it is no longer OK to eat? Is it mold? Thanks in advance.

It's probably not moldy--unless everything in the kitchen is moldy.
