I recently heard about this app and was surprised since I'd never heard of it.

here's how it works:

1) shop at walmart
2) scan the receipt with the app
3) any items found locally at a lower cost gets refunded to you.

the guy who told me had over $20 in his account. I've been using it for 4 weeks and have about $1.50.

no comment about being for/against shopping at walmart.

I tried it but it seems to catch only brand name items and not all stores.

I use it all the time. I've gotten $33 off on a vacuum cleaner, and replaced my printer for $8. I currently have over $21 in my account, and just submitted seven yesterday. When I go to Walmart, I look for discarded receipts and enter those, too.

I also use Receipt Hog, and National Consumer Panel for points that can be converted into gift cards.

UCK, I need that app, but my plain-jane cellphone has very limited graphics capability.

You don't have to use a SmartPhone, you can do it manually on your computer by entering the receipt number and date. www.walmartsavingscatcher.com.

That's about typical.

While every penny counts, few people get big returns using that.

Yep, plus you have a max entry of 7 receipts, they make you wait 3 days for approval also.

And at the Walmart near me you have to wait in a miserably long line at customer service full of people trying to return stolen crap and people wiring money all over the world, it's a zoo. I loathe even buying anything at Walmart that I might have to return.
