What if your neighbor had no water, cause he chose the same as you?

Electricity.

I can pick up a generator pretty easily.

Nothing's keeping her at home.

I want my water to bathe and cook with. Water wins. I can survive without electricity and have survived a few times in my life without it when money was tight. Wasn't happy but I managed.

Water. I could just go to the gym and shower every day, make sure to go to the bathroom at work or the gym (aside from pee) and we could just buy gallons of water from the store for cooking and flushing pee down the toilet.

Water. I can buy water, or even catch rain. I can bathe at sink w/minimal water, buy soft drinks, buy water.

I'd much rather go without electricity than water. Showers and bathroom and cooking and cleaning all need water.

As an aside, I've had to live without running water and without electricity. The running water thing was a much bigger deal and much more inconvenient.

I think it depends on where you live and the season. I've lost power due to an ice storm in February in an all electric house. That was miserable. The time that it happened in June wasn't as bad. It was pretty hot and humid, but bearable. I had a gas stove and a grill, so I could cook. I lost most of the food from the refrigerator and freezer. At last I could leave the house 24 hours after the storm went through. The surrounding areas had power so I could at least buy ice.
