Nowhere really to ask the question..

Has anyone ordered from AliExpress? I don't mind waiting a few weeks delivery, but pricing is much lower. I know Russia practically lives in that site, ordering non stop, but it's Russia.

I have my sights on fancy projector there..

Never hurts to send feelers out first, right?

I have no personal experience buying there. I saw some cute stuff and read some reviews. I decided against shopping there. I try not to send my money overseas. The reviews were bad. IIRC, items were not as advertised, didn't fit, and did not arrive in a timely manner.

I've used aliexpress without issues in the past. Mostly buying cabling, wiring, connectors, that sorta thing though. Expect it to take a long time to get here though.

Yeah, delivery is OK. No rush. Simple stuff, huh. Thank you.
Anyone bought anything complex?

I've made a few purchases on there. It's infinitely easier than alibaba.com (it's larger site.) Items take awhile to get here, pricing is decent, but not show stopping. Product quality is all over the place. I've had some things turn out great, and others not so much.

I've purchased a number of things through there. I've had mostly good experiences. It's infinitely easier than AliBaba (I've purchased there, too.)

The prices on aliexpress.com are good, but not great. Be sure to calculate shipping fees. Quality is all over the place. Some items were exceptional, and others were pretty bad.

I've bought several things on Ali Express, I only had one undelivered order but when I submitted a bad review my money was refunded within a few hours. I always compare prices between Ali and Dhgate they sell basically the same merchandise

I bought from there. While the site isn't bad, I don't "trust" a chinese vender with my CC.

To get around this, I generate a single use CC number with a $ limit/1 week expiration date. Nothing seems to be have stolen but because I'm paranoid about it, I do this when I shop on it.

aliexpress is AliBaba for most purposes, same sellers/items. aliexpress allows for single item purchases while alibaba is bulk item purchase. Or it seems like it to me

I only bought clothes/accessories from there so the "quality" didn't have to be "great". It just needed to at least be on par with Walmart quality (same chinese items anyhow).
