I hear you. We just got back a month ago from a long road trip. I now have my kitchen back and my freezer full. I have been a cooking fool and I must have about 60 dinners in the freezer….but will that stop me from buying more food? Nope

I know, right? I especially cannot pass up a meat bargain, even when I know I already have a lot in the freezer.

I have other threads on City Data in regards to this high electricity usage, but so far I have done the following.

- Serviced the HVAC heat pumps installed in 2011. Units are high seer Carrier units.
- Replaced hot water heater
- Replaced appliances, microwave and oven. All other appliances came from my previous house which was $150 month max.
- Installed $12k worth of insulation and weatherization
- Replaced all light bulbs with LED
- Replaced well pump and pressure tank

Windows are fairly new.
