Another vote here for Cricket as well. I have Comcast internet and the most basic TV, for about $90. An outrage but it is a monopoly here too. At least the service is reliable, I will give them that.

i called to set up service and the girl said the 89.99 would end up around 120. that isnt including HBO which im sure my wife will make me get. the deal is 89.99/month for 2 years. after 12 months, there would be a dvr fee which is 19.99 a month.

that deal doesnt really thrill me. if i didnt wish to add a landline, i probably would stick with my current comcast internet/directv combo. im still considering it. i have paid 55-65 for the comcast internet and between 58-70 (though i think i can get it lower with a 12 month commitment) for tv. so something like 120 a month (after fees) and that includes dvr & hbo.

hmmm maybe ill cancel that order.

I was paying around $40 for Comcast internet when they upped their fees after my 2 years were up. They wanted $90 a month just for the internet. I don't have a landline or cable. When I called they were willing to drop it to $79 a month. I said no thank you and got Century Link for the internet. It's $63 which I think is still ridiculously high in my opinion.
