I have a Trac phone...which I love. I'll buy a 60 min card, and use the promo code for the month and I automatically rec've an add'l 180 mins. (i've mentioned this before)

Recently, I've noticed that I have gotten an upgrade..in that now when I'm getting a call my phone will voice out loud whose calling. Total surprise!

Found out the bad charges are common complaint against Iphones.... New Iphone cost is unrealistic on my income...
Check out Swappa and buy an actual IPhone charger if it doesn't come with one. You can find a used good condition IPhone 5s for ~$95.

We have some company deal with AT&T, which I guess is pretty good because we pay $50.20 for 2 phones unlimited text, unlimited minutes and 10gb of data that rolls over, so ~$25/phone.

S6 active I got 2 years ago.

I need it for work and write it off (the phone and plan).

It's starting to get a little buggy, so waiting for S8 active and will switch up.

iPhone 7 with Verizon. Would have kept the two year old iPhone 6 longer, but ran out of memory.

Note 5, leased from Sprint. I have another 3 months to decide if I am going to pay the balance on the phone and keep it or trade in for another phone.

Prepaid AT&T phone. It was my old smart phone that I was paying $100 a month for service for. Because I work from home I kept going over my minutes so I saw the opportunity to keep my existing phone and move to a $40 a month plan with unlimited everything on the same network, since my contract had expired. It has a cracked screen (not that bad though) and is more than 4 years old now, lol. My tenants drive nicer cars and all have the latest phones with $100 a month plans....

I use Tracfone. I purchased an LG Ultimate2 for $70 or so. It came with triple minutes for life. I found a smartphone plan on their site. $19.99 per quarter for 180 minutes, 180 texts and 180mBs. I don't use the phone a whole lot for calls so I had about 3000 minutes on my previous flip phone, Motorola 376g from Tracfone. They graciously transferred those 3000 minutes over to my LG as 3000 minutes, 3000 texts and 3gB of data. I use this phone a little bit more than the flip phone, but I leave data, wifi and location off until I actually need it. I do use the phone's gps fairly often and I do use the data occasionally if there is no wifi available but since the phone is small I don't find it convenient to use as an internet device.
So that's $80 a year and I have a smartphone when I need it. So far the texts and minutes have been accumulating and the data stays about where it was. Perfect for me.

If you don't need more minutes/texts/data, you can save $30/year and buy just service days. Logon to the website and put any airtime card in your cart. You should get an offer to buy an extra 1 year of service days for $49.99. Add that to your cart, remove the airtime card, and checkout.

I use the GPS & wifi functions for news, email, etc a fair amount, as well as bluetooth for my music on the patio, my older iPhone was over 6 years old & running out of power quickly & not loading apps correctly, I was still going to tough it out for frugality's sake. I also use it when I travel overseas with a local SIM card but my info, very handy.

Then I found a sale at AT&T for a new iPhone SE 32G, essentially a iPHONE 6 but with a smaller form factor which I like, for $199 unlocked & only $44/mo for 6 months, after 6 months I will probably go with a carrier like Cricket for $30/mo. I'm happy with the deal!
