cute or not, I can't even think about saving on electricity right now. It is freezing cold for May here an we have to wait until next Tues to get our new heat pump. Of course it will turn warm in a few days then we will be too hot. I guess we can be thankful the unit didn't go out in Dec or July.

The meter is the PoCo equipment. If they perceive that you are trying to 'steal' power, you are at their mercy.

Having a meltdown over it serves no purpose.

You might be better served by disconnecting from PoCo utilities.

But does a magnet actually alter meter readings? Interesting if it does, but surely this would have been revealed a long time ago.

It was revealed in 1978 wasn't it?

Walter Egan's Magnet And Steal reached #8 on the Billboard charts and spilled the beans in the process, didn't it?
Granted, it did have to be played backwards at half-speed, but still...

Oh wait, that was Magnet And Steel...sorry...carry on folks.
