Forget the names... focus on the quality.
Shoes are one area of the budget where going cheap is just plain foolish.

and it can really come back to bite you as you get older. I have osteoarthritis in my knees like crazy, already had one replacement and I'm trying to hold off on the other, wearing cheap sneakers can literally mean walking in pain.

Those days are over for me. I have to have a good solid, well made shoe.

I bought some cool puma suede sneakers but I only wear them for special occasions.

The rest of the time i just wear generic black sneakers that look like shoes, I used to buy the ones with the velcro tabs, but they always end up with lint on them so I buy ones with laces now, I like them because they just look like black shoes. I don't care what anyone thinks.

Cheap is not the way to go. It will make you hurt. You need quality. Look around and find good shoes. Keep checking for when they go on sale. Even if you have to pay full price, it is worth it.

I don't have feet or shoe problems, if anyone does they should buy special arch supports or shoes for their needs.

I've never been to a podiatrist nor ever had an foot issues with any doctor.

Good for you. Wear good shoes and you may never need to.
Wear crap shoes and you almost certainly will.

Cheap is a relative term. There's absolutely no question you should wear well made, good fitting shoes. None.

But what brand name they are, and especially what brand name they have on the outside, is irrelevant nonsense. Paying extra for red soles or this week's style of air Jordans is lunacy.
