Find a good VOiP provider. I'm on my second year of joiphone that I pay once a year and it breaks down to $8.95 a month. You do need a fast internet connection. No dial-up.

yall dont have to be hating on LIVETODAYLEZ threads she is just offering her advice. I agree its not something I think is worth saving money for but someone will find her post useful.
By making comments like ew and what not you are basically saying she is ew and thats rude.

anyways this is a topic that i voted for. I am a big spender but I also know how to be frugal and I try to be. Hey if it means an extra pair of shoes why not!

Works for me.
Don't go places where you might be tempted to spend money. I see this everyday. People come into the place where I work intending only to spend 5 or 10 dollars and walk out having spent $200. Good for us, not for them.

If you do go shopping for recreation, only carry a small amount of cash. Leave your bankcard, credit card, and checkbook at home.

Associate with like minded people. The more I hang around people with the latest clothes, phones, cars, etc the more I get interested in spending money on that stuff. I am not saying desert a good friend, but I think that when shopping for a house/neighborhood, choosing which activities to take up, and deciding how to spend your weekend nights on a regular basis, this should be a factor in the decision making.
