Shop wisely (know prices and what are actually good food prices)
Eat at home
Don't waste $$$ at movie theaters
Drink more water as opposed to sodas, beer, etc.

And not bottled water which can cost more than gasoline prices this past summer. Besides tap water is usually of better quality, much cheaper, and we aren't filling landfills with plastic bottles.

-Stop eating out.
-Stop buying clothes just because they are on sale.

Buy only what you need not just because it's on sale. When you go shopping for food, buy only what's on the list.

Call around different insurance co's and get quotes. We did this a few weeks ago and are now saving $300 a year.

Shop online when you make an expensive purchase. For instance: You get more for your money buying at Newegg.com than Best Buy (for example only, no promoting Newegg).

Don't impulse shop. Make a list of what you need, don't stray from the list. If you see a good deal on something at the store... Go home and sleep on it. I usually find that what I was eyeballing at the store I've completely forgotten about the next day.

Contrarily to what I just said... (LOL) ... plan your shopping trips so that you can make them more efficient.

How about your cell phone plan? Are you really using all those minutes you're paying for? If you're with a company like Sprint, you can downgrade your plan without resigning another 2 yr agreement. If you're not using those minutes, why pay for them?

How about your cable and/or tv service? Do you really need all that you have?

Bargain shop for the food, keep a well stocked freezer. I only buy meats that are on sale and I'll buy extra to stock up the freezer. I always have food and get more for my money by buying at a lower cost.

I might pay off the credit card with the lowest balance first. When its paid off you roll that payment into the next lowest. It had a nice steamroller effect for me after college and car payments.
