Here is whatcha do with blue jeans that don't fit you anymore.. or you go to the trrift stores or garage sales etc. RECYCLE THEM/ Cut them up an sew squares of them so you can make a quilt. Whatever you do, you can recycle them to make mattress covers, I know, lots of BLUE JEANS you wil need. How about Pillow case covers, Lap blankets, Pot-holders in the kitchen. Tote bags. that is sew simple to sew. You can use velcro for making the bag and purses. you could even make short kitchen curtains. Ideas are endless.

Jeans are the best quality (sturdy) for braided rugs. I was trying to make rugs from everything, like t-shirts, and yes, they come out more colorful than the boring blue-jeany color... But they are easier squished under your feet than rugs made from jeans... You can add colorful jeans and pants (corduroy, etc) though...

Why not donate jeans that don't fit you to someone who they will fit? It's another story for jeans that are beyond hope - those, cut up, etc. - but otherwise, there is bound to be someone who would welcome a pair of jeans.

Agreed. I'd hate to cut up a perfectly good pair of jeans that someone else could use. Go to Goodwill and ask for the jeans they can't sell (broken zippers, torn up hems, missing pockets, etc) and use those to make rugs or other craft projects.

BTW, the denim makes a good and sturdy dog bed and the dog isn't picky that the pieces are all perfect squares like for a quilt.
