Junk food = Processed food = factory produced food = more labor involved food
= higher cost *makes sense*

*Fresh* produced food especially ones from the local grown farms / garden
= cut out the middle man = more cost efficient.

Now homegrown foods (where *you* do all the work = free labor) is the most cost efficient.
Price of seeds to produce 20 weeks of produce = 20 weeks of cost free products
= 20 weeks of savings.
Now if you can can foods for winter...
*you save* all year long.

P.S. I don't do much microwaving at all... so even when the microwave is taken out of my lifestyle, I will not miss it.
