My daughter just turned 3y and as much as I'm dying to take her to Tampa ( not a luxury destination or uncommon flt ), I simply can't afford another ticket. Of course I get thinking about it most when we're taking off w/ several empty seats! Is there any airline that would allow a lap child ( even if they're older than 1) or a super discounted ticket even if it means waiting til the morning of?
Any other suggestions would help...

A seat is a seat... they don't care how old or how big a person sitting in it is!

If you're willing to wait until the last minute and fly any carrier/flight, use Priceline 3-5 days before you want to fly.

FAA rules are VERY clear, all children over two must have their own seat.

Go during off-peak season (in other words late August through mid-November, a week or two after Easter through late May, or most of January and fly mid-week for the best deals.
