Just ne careful NOT to mix household chemicals. Combining products with bleach and ammonia will generate chlorine gas which will be toxic to your lungs.
I bring this up solely as a warning as I have seen a couple of people overcome by the gas.
I've tried using water and vinegar to clean things and it has always been a nightmare that works like crap. But I usually get the desire to try it again after a couple of years, thinking maybe I just did something wrong. To date, I've never had much success with it.
I've got to say I'm not the biggest fan of that strong vinegar smell, but I like the lemon juice idea! Will have to give it a whirl. You should add the lemon juice tip to the comments section of that video--it sounds like a great alternative
I use a spray bottle of 11 parts water and 1 part ammonia. This is great for windows, counters, cleaning bathrooms, removing carpet stains, etc. Costs next to nothing.
ANTS! I use a spray bottle of Pledge Orange Oil. Ants HATE it. I spray it where ants are entering and it stops them dead. I use it in the kitchen and it is non-toxic. Just be careful if you spray it on the floor as it can be slippery.
I use vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice for cleaning. I also use vanilla extract if something in the fridge smells funky. I still use windex, I haven't found a suitable replacement. Plus if you write to the windex company, they will send you coupons. Last year they sent me 2 coupons for a free bottle of windex. When Safeway had windex on sale buy one get one free, I used the coupon and got 4 bottles for free. That lasts a long time around here.

How do you use vanilla to clean the fridge? Just a spot, diluted on undiluted?
Soak a cotton ball with the vanilla and put it in an open dish to get rid of smells. That's what my Grandma did, anyway :-)
