Anyone shopping on Black Friday?

Or is it just a Gimmick?

Do you think you will better deal later?

I have been watching trends on electronics. The pricing was actually pretty low on alot of stuff the end of October through around the 12th of November. They are steadily rising (since then) on higher end electronics. I think it is so when the pricing drops on black Friday the consumer feels he got a great deal when in fact he could have bought it late October for the same price.

I always think "Wow, think of all the money I could save if I just stay home and buy nothing at all!"

Works for me.

I don't like crowds and rarely even shop on the weekends. You won't catch me anywhere near those stores on Black Friday.

I'm good with a 36" CRT, but if it gets to be an emergency I *might* consider braving the sales to save 10% on a big ticket item.

This is surprising to someone?

These practices are nothing new, at least in my area - all ads say 'While Supplies Last", or some derivitive of that.

Car dealers usually advertise "1 at this price" or 5 at this price".
