I love Trader Joe's and it does help my budget. I tend to shop at TJ's, Safeway (we do have a nice one here, but it is more expensive than Trader Joe's for a variety of things), and the farmers' markets. Whole Foods is just out of my budget.

I don't particularly care for the fresh produce at Trader Joe's, but I've noticed they've recently begun to put out some that you can buy in singles rather than in packs – like lemons, limes, potatoes, and things like that. As a single, I do like the smaller packaging, and I generally get my "snacks" from there – things like the Samosas, pot stickers, egg rolls, and veggie burgers. I also like the canned artichoke hearts and the olives are much cheaper than a regular supermarket.

And those of you who said there is lots from California, you're correct, however, living in California, it's nice to see produce not far from where I live on the Central Coast. I also like their variety in breads and nuts. I find pretty good deals there, and for other things hit Safeway, or the farmers' markets to supplement. I like the variety of international foods there, also.

So, I'm a Trader Joe's fan!

I like Trader Joe's, too. You can find healthy food that doesn't cost too much. And, some interesting food, too. But, they discontinue products--all of a sudden...gone. What ever happened to the Mud Pie and chocolate macaroons?? I don't buy produce there--Sprout's has the best for that.
