I am looking for a cheap plant (annual probably) that will tolerate morning/early afternoon sun that is white or bright. I already have some red/pink flowers and need something that 'pops' to go alongside these. Last year I planted vincas but they didn't do well due to not having the afternoon sun. Any ideas are appreciated.

What about shasta daisies? I'm not sure how much light they like, but they are easy to maintain and spread without any work.
