Not sure which forum for this to go in, but this seemed appropriate...

Anyway, I seen the strangest thing this morning, when I was leaving for work, there was a black widow spider on the driveway! It was 30° this morning around 9am, frost everywhere, but there was a black widow out there slowly moving around. Wow. I didnt mess with it, but dad told me later he seen it and it was still slowly moving. I assumed he killed it... though it so strange for one of these to be out as cold as it was.

Wonder what was going on?

Black widow in the driveway this morning, still alive!

Methinks it was trying to commit suicide.

I saw a poor mouse squished flat in my driveway.

I felt so bad for him!

Talk about being in the wrong place at EXACTLY the wrong time!

Anyway, mean as that sounds, I'd prefer the dead mouse over the black widow

I know, it was the strangest thing!

Also strange is that I am seeing Robin birds around here! My dad said he seen some last week, I thought he was kidding. However today I seen about 15 of them on the courthouse lawn! I am 34 have lived here all of my life and have NEVER seen a robin in January! March maybe or maybe even late February, but never early January! I bet they are regretting it since this also looks like its going to be a record cold winter... we only had 2 days with above average highs in December 2010!

I need to start a new thread asking about this craziness. lol.
