Very large yard (three city lots) and Im just now pondering placement for a raised vegetable garden.
After a heavy rain last night, I identified a low spot in the yard that floods, orv at least has standing water for several hours, that would also be optimal for a vegetable garden. If the flooding issue were addressed. Is there any reason I should NOT put a raised bed there, or any cautions?
I don't think I can help with your question, but read the "All vegetable Gardening" thread it might help. From what I read, that could be an issue if the water sits under the bed and keep it wet like a pool. If you have a big space, can you find another sunny spot for your bed till you fix this problem.
