I think it is very pretty I have purple porterweed and I have had a salmon color. It self seeds easily. I have little porterweeds growing everywhere. I transplant them in pots and give them away.

Butterfly attracter also

I never heard of it either ... but apparently it only grows in the southern third of the State of Florida, so it thrives only in zones 9, 10, and 11.

We had it in Florida. Very pretty and reliable, it has a reputation of being invasive, but we never found it so. Left alone, a group will grow to about the size of a desk.
