Spinach in soup. We are having a mini heat wave ALREADY and it is still Spring. One spinach bolted, but bloomsdale long standing is a CHAMP. I'm going to make some senegalese peanut stew with the rest of the spinach.

This has been the best year ever for us, with a warm and fairly dry spring. Last night we had a big salad with both red and green lettuce, with some spinach and snow peas all from the garden. Some of the tomatoes are as big as a nickel and normally I don't even plant them until mid-May. I have corn about 8" tall, despite our short summer, trying a variety called
"On Deck" with a dozen plants in a 24" pot on the patio where it gets sun all day.
