Johnson grass is taking over my zoysia lawn. I thought Zoysia would choke out anything. How do I get rid of the Johnson grass without harming the Zoysia?
It is the toughest most persistent "grass" out there and nothing short of a shovel will truly have an effect. I hate it. Good luck!! The normal recommendation is to keep applying round up until it cries uncle.
Lots-o-luck. The only way, for a few isolated plants, is to dig it up with all it's roots then apply the grass killer as it peaks out again; and it will. I'm not aware of any way to do it without damage to your good grass.
