Default Drowned tomato plants

Irene flooded my garden and my tomato plants have given up. They are covered with green tomatoes. I am picking them all now but what do I do with over 100 green tomatoes? Do I let them sun ripen then can?

I've given away oodles of red ones and if we eat any more fried green tomatoes we might never recover!

I am so sorry to hear that. What a year this has been. Most of us lost ours due to the heat and you lost yours due to a flood..There are two things you can do: 1-take some of them, put them in the window or someplace where they will get sun. They should ripen pretty fast this time of year. Also you can wrap them in newspapers, put them in a box and leave them for a rew weeks. Then start checking to see if they are ripened.
