Hmm--the flowers were in a pot.
I haven't had anything in the ground get root-rot, but I have seen it happen to other folks' stuff. Thanks for the tip!

Ah, gotcha !

I do have one container that has just one drainage hole in the bottom, and it fills with dirt easily, so when it rains it holds the water.......I plan to move my banana plant out and put my umbrella sedge in (the sedge will appreciate the water more).
