Your violets look so healthy and beautiful. Funny thing is I just noticed my old posting above on this thread over 10 years ago. Iím still growing violets though the ones I had 10 years ago died a few years ago having moved and using the tap water which unfortunately was too soft and my poor violets couldnít get the required nutrients. Now I use gallon jugs of purified water and they are doing much better.

My pretty violets were not doing well in my Florida room with 11 windows. The condensation on the windows threatened them with mildew. So I moved them into a back bedroom and even though there is a window they are not blooming. So I purchased a full spectrum grow light that is both red and blue. Plus I also have a CFL light also next to them.

So far they are looking way happier but it has only been a week now. The light puts off a purple light and my son is laughing at me. He says that the neighbors are gonna think I am growing something besides my house plants.

Oh well

My husband said, Yeah right who puts that in front of an open window with the blinds wide open. I did tell my neighbor who is our Mrs. Kravitz and seems to know the business of everyone on our street that I bought grow lights for my flowers, just in case LOL
