Hey thar, I'm arguing with my parents in southern california about how they want to do their garden patio stuff. I guess I have no horse in the race, but I'm not sure how much I trust stuff like this:

It's fine, but obviously they want to sell you something or other. I have no experience with this stuff, but I read about the paint fading from UV on patio furniture, but I think that's pretty much just guaranteed and you might as well just get something that's not colorful in the first place.

So my question is, has anyone purchased that stuff before and had it for a good while? Does it really not just fade after a bit?
