As we know mother's day is coming up. And we all know flowers are the best gifts for anybody. But I don't know which flowers are the best for mom on mother's day?
My children give instead of fresh cut flowers a flower plant to put in my garden That way my flower garden gets every year a touch fuller and it is so nice to see the flowers growing year after year and being reminded they were given by my kids. Also I have the joy to see more birds and butterflies!

The best flowers for mothers day I ever received were picked from the wild flowers in the yard...beautiful dandelions and such. Ok, so it wasn't mother's day but it felt like it when they brought them in.
If she is a gardener give her something she can plant in the garden like an azalea or hydrangea. But remember flowering shrubs like that have been forced inside and will take a full year to get back on schedule.
Be careful about inside plants if she has pets as some lilies (Easter ones especially) and other plants can be poisonous. If she's not a gardener a nice arrangement of spring or summer flowers would be appreciated.
Roses are the "traditional" flower for the occasion, but if your Mom has a favorite, that's the one she should get IMO
