How much top soil can be SAFELY loaded into a single axle 6x12 utility trailer (with sides) ?
6x12x1.5 =108Cu Ft ... /27 shows 4 yards

The weight of that seems too much to me (regardless of what's pulling it).
Any ideas?

One cubic yard of topsoil generally weighs about one ton (2000 pounds). Topsoil's weight can vary greatly due to moisture content. In the dryness of the summer, the weight of a cubic yard of soil can drop down to around 1700 pounds, while in the spring when soil is damper, one cubic yard may weigh well over one ton.

There should be a rating for the trailer somewhere on it or in the literature about it.

What's the "SAFE" operating weith maximum for your trailer.

Most better landscape material yards will weight you in and out on vehicle scales.
