I used hand tools.
I tried trimming my hedge into something pretty and artistic. I tried. But for some reason my neighbor didn't like it.

Sounds funny, using hand sissors, but I didn't want to trim too much off.
Eventally, it might grow more rounded, we will see.
You did a beautiful job! As with so many plants and shrubs and trees and things, cutting them back and topping them, always promotes outward growth, making for a thicker/fuller specimen. Keep up the great gardening!
