It is a mixed bag. I've had to get rid of some skyrocket junipers and a moonglow. My local nursery actually sold me the moonglow and it had rust at the time I bought it. Unf I didn't know what the red marks were...
I'm really pissed at them. It gave rust to my skyrockets, which are not disease resistant.
I'll have a redesign and replanting to do for part of the garden. Live and learn. I'm still working on some garden projects for 2014 and that is tough. I'm also enjoying a couple of the finished gardens. Some more experienced gardeners say dividing is a chore...but at my level now I'm so happy that I can divide plants. It is cool to see the garden finally looking full.
My trees and shrubs are leafing out and I LOVE it. Currently I'm in love with the nannyberries. Pictures online don't do this plant justice. It starts out with reddish new growth and has kind of burgundy bronze fall color in my garden. Plus flowers and berries. The best part is that it does well in alkaline soil and is DEER RESISTANT unlike many of my plants.
All of the plants are getting big and I had my first iris bloom today! There is actually a ton of stuff going on, but I'll abstain from boring you all.
For the past two years I've kept a gardening journal and I occasionally blog about the garden on CD.
